Every member active and inactive from last year should have received an email from Les.
The email spoke of upcoming events, the need for participation of our members, changes in the way the AMA handles their membership renewal cycle and what that means for you in relation to our club as well as renewals / gate combination change.
If you did not receive Les’s email, contact him with your current email address. You can do that from this website by using the “Contact-Officers” form.
The upcoming events Les wrote about include a work-day/Club meeting at the field and several dates for future flying events. These dates have been updated in the “Events Calendar” so be sure to check them out.
Our first meeting for 2017 has come and gone. You can view the meeting minutes online by selecting the Membership menu then selecting Meeting Minutes from there. This is a new feature and additional months will be added after each meeting.
One Item of note from the meeting is that the gate combination will be changed on
February 1st. Be sure to renew your membership before then, so you don’t miss out on flight time.
Speaking of renewals, remember you can now renew your membership online!
The Beaumont Radio Control Club is sad to announce the cancellation of our Toys-for-Tots fund raiser due to inclement weather.
We regret that the fun fly can’t take place, and ask instead that each of you open your hearts to the less fortunate children this year by donating directly to the Toys-for-Tots organization.
The local Toys-for-Tots coordinator for the Golden Triangle can be found here:

For the second time in as many years, BRCC member AaRhan Stewart was invited to compete in the 2016 Top Gun RC Competition in Lakeland, Florida. Last year he took 1st place in the “Pro-Am Sportsman” category.
This year he was entered in the “Pro Prop” category. Athough he performed well, his plane engine died during the final flight causing no score on the last two maneuvers. In spite of that, AaRhan still placed 9th in “Pro Prop”. A great showing for his first year in that very competitive category.
Congratulations AaRhan on a great effort!
